1 - Before Engine No. LAA-283230 and LAQ- 117209, set timing 7/32" after timing ball. Starting with these Numbers, set it at the ball.

2- Turn the rocker arm adjusting screw down until all lash is removed. Then turn screw down additional turn specified.

3- New points .019", used .016".

4- Cylinder numbering front to rear: left bank 1357 right bank 2468

5- New points .018", used .015".

6- Each set of points 28-30° total both sets 33-35°

7- For long travel lifters 2 turns

8- First short vertical line clockwise from ball in flywheel.

9- Early production: intake .012H exhaust .020H. Engines date stamped TO-1118QA or QB: intake .018H exhaust .030H
